To invite your tenants to start paying rent online, all you need to do is fill out some basic information and we'll send them an email. Log into your account, then follow these steps:
Additionally, tenants also have the option to initiate the connection process by inviting landlords to join Rentler. They can navigate to the Payments section, select the option to invite their landlord, and provide the landlord's email address for sending out the invitation.
Click on 'Payments' on the left rail of your landlord dashboard. Then hit the button that says 'Add new payment'.
Choose your property or add a new one. (Tip: You will need to add a property before you can invite tenants to pay rent online.)
Add tenant information including first name, last name, and email address.
Fill out rent payment information, including move-in and move-out date and any late fees you would like automatically applied.
Select which bank account you would like the funds deposited into, or add a new one.
Confirm the details to automatically send your tenants an email letting them know a new payment has been created. To re-send the invitation, click on the payment in your payments dashboard and click 'Re-send invite' next to the tenant's information.
Troubleshooting Steps
If tenants do not receive the invitation email: Ensure their email address is entered correctly, and request that they check their spam or junk folders.
To resend an email invitation: Revisit the payment in your dashboard, select the tenant's information, and click on 'Re-send invite'.
