How do I submit a maintenance request?
Go to Maintenance
Click “Maintenance” in the left-hand navigation menu.
2. Start a New Request
If this is your first maintenance request, select your current rental and click “Submit a New Request.”
If you already have pending requests, you’ll see them listed on your Maintenance Dashboard. From there, you can submit an additional request if needed.
3. Create Your Request
Click the “Submit a New Request” button in the top-right corner.
Enter a title for easy tracking.
Choose the priority level (how urgent the request is).
Provide details about the issue.
Upload any photos or documents related to the request (optional).
4. Submit Your Request
Once you click “Submit,” your landlord will automatically receive a notification.
How to Close a Maintenance Request
Go to Your Maintenance Dashboard
Select the request you want to manage.
View Request Details
You’ll be taken to a screen showing all the information for that request.
Close or Update the Request
Click “Change” to either close the request or update its priority/importance.

What Can I Include in a Maintenance Request?
A text description of the issue is all that’s required.
You can also upload photos or videos to provide more details. Supported file types: .jpg, .png, .gif, .pdf.
You can set the importance level of your request so your landlord knows if it needs immediate attention.
How Will I Know About a Maintenance Request?
You’ll receive an email notification whenever a new maintenance request is submitted or updated.
To view all your requests in one place, sign into your Rentler account and click “Maintenance.”
From the dashboard, you can sort requests by date, status, or importance to quickly find what you need.
Can a Landlord Submit a Maintenance Request to a Tenant?
Yes! Landlords can submit maintenance requests to tenants for tasks like changing lightbulbs or lawn care (if included in the rental agreement).
To do this, sign in to Rentler, click “Maintenance” in the sidebar, and then select “Submit a New Maintenance Request.”
