How do I find a place to rent?

Filter your results

 Looking for something specific? Click on ‘Filters’ at the top of the search results to make your search even more tailored. From here you can search listings by property type, price, lease length, number of bedrooms, amenities, and more.

Use the elastic map

See the plus and minus signs on the top-right corner of your map? These will zoom in and out of the area you’re looking at. Your search results will automatically adjust to fit the location you’re looking at.

Favorite your top picks

Once you find listings you’re interested in, click the heart in the right-hand corner to save it to your favorites. If you do not already have a Rentler account, you will be prompted to create one.

Or, you can save it by clicking on the heart on the listings details page.

View the listings you've favorited

1. While searching listings, click on the 'My Places' button in the top right-hand search bar. This will filter all your favorited listings so you can view them quickly.

2. Go to your tenant dashboard and click on ‘Favorites’ in the left-hand sidebar. This will redirect you to the same 'Favorites' view in search listings.

Flag fraudulent listings

Our team is pretty vigilant about taking down fraudulent listings, but if you spot one that looks like it might be fake make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and hit ‘Report Listing’.

We’ll review it immediately and take down the post if we deem it fraudulent. Stay safe out there by reading this guide to recognizing fake listings.

Apply instantly

Once you find the perfect place, apply instantly with a saved application. To apply to a property, just select the ‘Apply now’ button

You will be asked to create a Rentler account if you don’t already have one. From there, you will need to complete an online application that includes a credit and background screening and then be submitted to multiple properties.

Note: Landlords must have online applications turned on for this feature to work.
