Introduction to Fair Housing
Any defined terms used but not defined in this Fair Housing Policy are defined in our Terms of Use. All housing listed and managed using the Website is subject to the Fair Housing Act, which makes it illegal to show or exercise “any preference, limitation, or discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap familial status, or national origin, or intention to make such preference, limitation or discrimination.”
It's our policy to not knowingly accept or permit use of the Website that violates the law. All housing units listed and managed must be available on an equal opportunity basis.
Please read the Fair Housing act for information on additional protections and limited exceptions. The United States Department of Housing and UrbanDevelopment (“HUD”) and the United States Department of Justice provide additional information.
Please be aware that many States and local governments have their own rules regarding Fair Housing practices. We recommend educating yourself on these rules prior to using this service.
Additional guidance on advertising, including for roommates, has been issued by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Rentler will not knowingly allow any discriminatory post or listing on our website, but we do not take responsibility for content posted by others. If you believe information on the website violates these rules, please contact us at [email protected] and we'll address the issue as soon as is reasonably possible.
