FAQ About Maintenance Requests
How do I submit a maintenance request?
After you log into your Rentler account,
1. Click on 'Maintenance' in the left-hand navigation column,
2. If this is your first maintenance request, you will need to select your current rental and then hit ‘Submit A New Request’. If you have other requests pending, your maintenance dashboard will look like this:
From here, you can click the 'Submit a New Request' button in the top-right of the screen to get started.
3. Add a title for easy tracking, how important this request is, and the details. From this screen you can also upload photos or documents that relate to your new maintenance request.Once you click submit, your landlord will receive a notification.
How do I close a maintenance request?
Select the request you want to edit from your maintenance dashboard, then you will be taken to a screen that shows you all the details. From here, you can select ‘Change’ to close a maintenance request or change the importance.
What can I include in my maintenance request?
Although you only need to include a text description of the problem you’re reporting, you can also utilize our uploader to include photos and videos.
Uploaded media can be in .jpg, .png, .gif, .pdf
You can also change the importance of a maintenance request so your landlord knows if it needs to be addressed immediately.
How will I know when I have a maintenance request?
You’ll get an email each time a tenant submits a new maintenance request or makes any changes. To see all your maintenance requests in one place, just sign into your Rentler account and click Maintenance.
Here you can sort by date, status, and importance to quickly find the information you need.
Can a Landlord make a maintenance request to a tenant?
Yes, if you're a landlord you will have an option to send a new maintenance request to tenants to remind them about little tasks like changing the lightbulbs or mowing the lawn if it's in their contract. Just click on 'Maintenance' in the sidebar after you sing in to Rentler and then choose 'Submit a New Maintenance Request'.
