How do I set up a bank account for rent deposits?
When you create your first payment series, you'll be asked to add a bank account that rent can be deposited into. Rentler uses Plaid to connect your bank account securely, which means you'll be asked to select your bank before continuing.
If your financial institution is available, click 'Next' and you will see this privacy notice allowing Plaid to securely log you in.
After you continue, you will be taken to a log in screen. Here you can enter your banking information to link your account for direct deposits.
Can't find your bank?
You can add a standard checking account from any US-based bank or financial institution by selecting 'Add Account' underneath the bank selection box. All you need in order to add the bank account where you would like rent money deposited into is your routing number and bank account number, plus your bank's main phone number in case we need to contact them for assistance.
Your bank account will be verified using a secure third-party, so your information is safe. Once you save a new bank account, you will have the option to use it whenever you set up new payments in the future.
