How do I submit information for screening & credit checks?

If your potential landlord requests a background screening and credit check through Rentler, this is how it goes down.

1. When you apply for a listing online, the landlord will request a screening. After you receive the email, click [Start screening] to log in to Rentler or create a new Rentler account. This link is a custom URL that will take you directly to the screening process.

2. Fill out the required information. If a landlord has requested that the applicant pay the $35 fee, you will also be asked to also provide payment info. You can agree to the terms & conditions, then click “Continue Screening”. After you’ve finished on that screen, you will be given four questions to verify your identity via Experian Precise ID:

3. If you answer the questions successfully, you'll see a confirmation page. Click [View Credit Report] to be taken back to your application:

To view your credit report

One your credit has been pulled, you can log into Rentler to see the details. Just go to the Applications section of the site to see your submitted applications and available credit reports.
